During World War II the Russell Industrial Center was operating under The Murray Body Corporation of America.
The Murray Body Corporation (and related entities), were known to have contracted with the U.S. military during the war.
The Russell and other existing auto-body facilities were repurposed to support production for:
Military vehicle parts
Aircraft components
Metal fabrication for weapons or gear
